Syn was commissioned by Sony Networks to create a new sonic identity for the rebranding of the Crackle channel. With complex multilayered visuals leading to the Crackle logo within the space of 5 seconds, our challenge was to bring the visual journey to life with sounds that would appeal to a younger and hipper target audience. We achieved this by avoiding the more traditional orchestral route that many TV and film studios use. Instead, we chose more contemporary and radical guitar sounds, effects, analogue synths, and sound design, mixed together to create an impactful sonic identity that will stand the test of time.
